And wow is he a great boy! He will definitely win you over right when you meet him! Winthrop is a Lab/Hound mix and is approximately 6 years old. He came into the shelter as a stray. He is very friendly and well behaved. He must have been someone’s dog at one point since he already knows sit and shake, comes when you call him, and takes his treats so gently. Winthrop is currently at a boarding kennel and is need of a foster home while he waits to find his forever home. Whoever adopts this great boy is going to be very lucky to have him! This handsome gentleman will need a PHYSICAL FENCED Yard and a family that has time to spend with him. No small children please. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Winthrop, he can be seen some Saturdays from 11 am until 3 PM or a personal meet and greet may be arranged with an approved application. We show most of our adoptable pets at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday from 11 to 3. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: rescueme93@yahoo.com to see if that pet will be there. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees - Senior : 9 years & up $100-$250 (Price depends on individual circumstances) - Adult : 2 years to 8 years $325 - Young adult : 6 months to 2 years $350 - Puppy : 6 weeks to 6 months $375 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
