Whiskey's in need of a new home because his former family could not provide the amount of exercise and time required to keep him focused. He was returned to us Heartworm positive and is undergoing the 1st phase of his treatment. About July 15 he will start the 2nd phase and will desperately need a foster or adopter. His activities will need to be restricted for 30 days after which he is expected to continue to be his big, goofy Hound self. He's a big hound pup who needs lot of exercise and activities to keep him active and engaged in order for his training to succeed. No couch potatoes please. He's a good boy but needs to be busy. Whiskey is good with children and other dogs and loves, loves, loves people. He's funny, playful and affectionate but needs to have his attention focused in order to be the awesome dog he's meant to be. He would probably do well at agility. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 Adult : 2-8 $250 Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
