Lady was living on the streets in Delray Detroit for at least year before being rescued. She was heartworm positive and in need of serious dental work. Lady is now healthy and has a lot less teeth. But, she can still eat hard food just fine! Lady tested allergic to most proteins and other food ingredients so she is on a special prescription diet – Hills ZD. She loves corn and pretty much every vegetable and fruit as treats. Lady was most likely born sometime in 2012. She would do best with an experienced dog owner in a quiet home that doesn’t have a lot of company. Lady’s foster dad says she’s the best dog he’s ever taken care of! She just needs the right family to see what a very special loving dog she is! Are you that right family? We’d love to talk to you about her! ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
