He’s a happy-go-lucky, 44 pound, 8 y/o Beagle boy who acts like a 2 y/o. What makes this so amazing is that he spent the last 3 months living in the house alone . The neighbor fed him and checked on him while Argus waited patiently for his owner to come home. That didn’t happen and when his owner passed there was nowhere for Argus to go but into rescue. He’s a character who will make you laugh with his antics. He hates the crate and will not stay confined, but he is good outside of the crate and is not into destroying things. He tolerates other dogs, we don’t know about cats, but he does ignore the foster’s cats. If you are interested in a nice companion dog, Argus will fit the bill. He will need a strong, secure fence, older kids and a loving family. Argus will be at PetSmart, Utica most Saturdays from 11 am until 3 pm. If you can’t adopt right now how about fostering. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees *Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 *Adult : 2-8 $250 *Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 *Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
