She' s quiet, loving, adores affection and has so much love to give. Doris ended up in rescue when she was found as a stray and no one was looking for her. Of course she was heartworm positive with an enlarged heart, when we got her, so it appears no one was looking out for this girl for a long time. Well her life has certainly gotten better. She's had her heartworm treatment, she's on the proper meds for her heart and she has a loving foster who's been preparing her for her new home and family, and boy is she loving the life. Doris has so much life and love to give left in her. She's so ready for a home that will love and take care of her. She's about 9-10 years y/o, gentle with a pretty Beagle face and warm brown eyes, and her tail never stops wagging. She loves other dogs but mostly wants to be with her people. Doris will make a great companion for a variety of families with a fenced in yard and older kids. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees *Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 *Adult : 2-8 $250 *Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 *Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
