Chewy was rescued from a Detroit shelter by the granddaughter of one of our volunteers after his former owner was going to just let him loose on the cold streets because she didn't have any room for him. Amazing. Chewy is sweet, funny, lovable and absolutely adorable with his slight underbite and intelligent brown eyes that sees right into your heart. He's playful and gets along with the other dogs and cats at his fosters home and he follows his foster everywhere. I guess he's afraid he'll be dumped again. Chewy has a bundle of love to share with someone who has room in their heart and home for him. But only if you want him forever. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees *Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 *Adult : 2-8 $250 *Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 *Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
