Description:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Charlie is a pure bred Australian Shepherd who weighs about 45 pounds. Charlie was born on Feb 6, 2011 and is a very smart and loving boy! He knows sit come, lay down, shake, fetch, and is totally housebroken. His greatest love is a jolly egg that he plays with and bats around the yard and talks to it. Charlie enjoys swimming and will take his toys into the pond with him. He is also micro chipped. He loves people and gets along with cats. He also gets along with other dogs, but is very verbal when playing and other dogs take his vocalness as a challenge. Charlie pretty much ignores the smaller dogs, and when he tries to play with the larger dogs, by getting a rope and wanting them to play tug of war he does growl. This leads to a disagreement between the dogs and Charlie always loses as he is the more submissive. Charlie went to a trainer who had an agility class that was about to start and I ask Charlie to attempt the agility challenges just to see how he would do. He went over the "A" frame, crossed the raised plank, jumped through the hoop, and weaved through the poles on the first try!! He loved the challenge and would do well at it. Charlie needs a family that has time for him and can give him the love he wants so badly. He is afraid of storms, but will calm down if allowed to sleep next to your bed during a storm. He loves toys and will collect his toys up to keep them together. Once he bonds with you, he will want to be with you whenever possible. He loves attention and learns new things quickly! Charlie is crate trained and will "go to his room" when told to. Charlie currently lives in a home with 5 other dogs and two of them are bigger and have a low tolerance for Charlie's vocalness. He needs to have more companionship and play time than he gets here.
