NemoFinding Nemo a new home is at the top of our wish list this year. Nemo is a 5 month old (as of 11-1-11) Lab/Bassett mix with a heart as big as the ocean. His foster mom says she has never fostered a dog that is as appreciative or so thankful to have someone give him love as Nemo is and has so much love to give in return. He is gentle, well behaved, laid back and good with everyone. Just a truly special boy with a love of life. Nemo has some special needs with his flipper-like paws. He can walk and play but will get achy if he overdoes it, but he loves affection and playtime just like any other puppy. We don't know if he will outgrow this or need medical intervention and extra TLC in the future. But whatever happens, he is one special little guy. He is house trained, good with cats and other dogs, loves kids and people. He has such a big courageous heart and a deep caring soul and just wants to find his way home to a loving family. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, NOT on a first come, first serve basis.
********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
