Meet Declan – The Velcro Dalmatian
Not your typical spotty pup! At just 2 years old, Declan is a one-of-a-kind Dalmatian with a heart as big as his polka dots. He’s a little shy at first, but once he decides you’re his person, get ready for ALL the hugs. (Yes, real hugs — chest presses, cheek snuggles, the works!)
Declan’s dream day? ✔️ Playing fetch like a pro ✔️ Taking a nice walk to show off his handsome self ♂️ ✔️ Snuggling up as close as possible to his human (warning: personal space does not exist with this boy ➡️)
He gets along great with other dogs (he and his foster sister are best play buddies!), but truth be told, he’s happiest glued to his human. He’s not a fan of the crate and may whine a bit when left alone — but that’s just because he loves you that much.
Declan is the definition of a “clingy boyfriend” in dog form: sweet, loyal, affectionate, a little anxious when you’re gone, but always SO excited when you come back. ❤️

********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
